About the Position

The Village Administrator serves as Campbellsport’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing Board directives, managing personnel, and preparing and administering the annual budget. Reporting to the Village Board, the Administrator ensures compliance with ordinances and state statutes, serves as the Public Information Officer, and acts as the Village’s liaison in legislative and intergovernmental affairs. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal management, budgeting, personnel oversight, and community and economic development.

The Ideal Candidate

The Village of Campbellsport seeks a Village Administrator with strong leadership, communication, and finance skills, along with a proven ability to advance economic development that supports Campbellsport’s continued growth and vitality. The ideal candidate will be highly engaged in the community—building relationships with residents and businesses, participating in local activities and organizations, and serving as a visible, approachable leader committed to Campbellsport’s success.

Salary Range: $112,600 - $125,600 (DOQ)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, or public policy preferred; A bachelor’s degree is required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in municipal government management, preferably with direct practice in community and economic development.

  • Or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.
