About the Position
The Village of Dane, Wisconsin (population 1,125), is a welcoming and close-knit community with a proud history rooted in the heart of Dane County. Established in 1899, Dane has transitioned from a rural railroad stop into a growing and charming residential community.
The Village Board is deeply invested in ensuring a positive and successful experience as it welcomes its first Village Administrator. The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to advance economic development initiatives that align with the Village’s growth and vision. A successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in engaging with residents and businesses, fostering relationships, and actively participating in community activities and organizations.
Full Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,000 (DOQ)

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public administration, public affairs, or closely-related field of study.
Experience in municipal government management, preferably with direct practice in community and economic development.
Supervisory experience.
