Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership Appoints Brittany Machleit to Serve as Executive Director
Fond du Lac, Wis. (August 12, 2026): The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership (DFP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brittany Machleit as Executive Director.
Machleit has served as Interim Executive Director since May 1, 2026, after previously serving as Special Events Director. She brings a diverse background in marketing, communications, event planning, education, and community engagement, with a strong focus on building relationships and creating meaningful connections. Machleit earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
“Brittany has demonstrated tremendous energy and commitment to downtown Fond du Lac,” said J.J. Raflik, President of the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership Board of Directors. “As Interim Executive Director, she has built strong relationships with our businesses, partners, and volunteers, and the Board is excited to have her lead the organization forward.”
As Executive Director, Machleit will oversee DFP’s operations and strategic initiatives while leading efforts related to business development, downtown revitalization, special events, marketing, fundraising, sponsorships, and community partnerships. “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Downtown Fond du Lac,” Machleit said. “I’m excited to build on the positive momentum, support our businesses, and continue strengthening downtown Fond du Lac.”
Downtown Fond du Lac has more than 280 businesses within the Business Improvement District, 76% of which are small, locally owned businesses. DFP supports downtown vitality through business recruitment, economic development, placemaking, marketing, and signature events including Fondue Fest, Wine Walks, and the Downtown Fond du Lac Farmers Market.
