City of Oshkosh Appoints Jake Timm as Communications and Engagement Manager

OSHKOSH, Wis. (October 16, 2026): The City of Oshkosh is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Timm as its new Communications and Engagement Manager, effective Monday, October 19, 2026.

Timm brings more than 15 years of experience in media and communications, including more than a decade of service with the City of Oshkosh. Most recently, he served as Senior Content Coordinator in the City's Communications and Engagement Division.

"Throughout his years with the City, Jake has demonstrated a strong commitment to our organization and community. He understands our vision for strengthening communication, expanding public engagement, and building meaningful connections with residents. We are proud to support his continued professional growth and confident in his ability to lead this important work."

During his tenure with the City, Timm has helped modernize communication platforms, expand digital outreach, and lead public information campaigns on complex municipal initiatives. Prior to joining the City in 2016, Timm served as Director of Multimedia Services at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He also served as the elected Board President of Wisconsin Community Media from 2019 to 2024, providing statewide leadership in strategic planning, organizational governance, and public media initiatives. Timm earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio/TV/Film from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
