City of Tomah Appoints Mandy Wagner to Serve as Treasurer

Tomah, Wis. (September 2, 2026): The City of Tomah is pleased to announce the appointment of Mandy Wagner as City Treasurer, bringing extensive public-sector experience, municipal finance knowledge, and strong ties to the Tomah community.

Wagner brings more than 20 years of experience with the State of Wisconsin and currently serves as a Contract Specialist–Advanced with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. She also serves as Treasurer for the Town of La Grange in Monroe County, a position she has held since 2023, where she manages municipal funds, tax collection, financial reporting, banking relationships, and other statutory responsibilities. Her previous experience includes serving as a Financial Specialist–Senior with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and managing departmental budgets and financial processes at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Wagner holds a Master of Business Administration from Viterbo University and has completed one year of the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay Clerk Treasurer Institute.

“Mandy brings a valuable combination of municipal finance experience, public-sector service, technical ability, and a genuine connection to the Tomah community,” said Interim City Administrator Steve Sarvi. “We are excited to welcome her to the City’s leadership team!”

As City Treasurer, Wagner will serve as the City’s chief financial officer, providing leadership for budgeting, accounting, treasury management, investments, payroll, financial reporting, debt administration, and tax collection. She will work closely with the City Administrator, Common Council, and department directors to support long-term financial planning and sound fiscal decision-making.
