City of Shawano Announces Isaac Patterson, CPA, to Serve as Finance Director
Shawano, Wis. (March 12, 2026): The City of Shawano is pleased to announce the hiring of Isaac Patterson, CPA, as its new Finance Director. Patterson brings years of experience in municipal auditing, accounting, and financial management. He will begin his service on Monday, March 16.
“We are very pleased to welcome Isaac to the City of Shawano,” said City Administrator Eddie Shepphard. “His background in governmental auditing and financial management will be a tremendous asset to our organization. Isaac brings a strong understanding of municipal finance, and we look forward to his leadership.”
Patterson is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University – Fort Wayne. He has worked extensively with local governments on GAAP reporting, state filings, and financial oversight. Patterson most recently served as Business Manager for the Kohler School District, where he led financial operations including budgeting, payroll oversight, grant management, and financial reporting. He also worked as an Audit Manager with Clifton Larson Allen (CLA) and Government Auditor for Corson, Peterson, and Hamann S.C.

As Finance Director, Patterson will oversee the City’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with state and federal financial regulations. He will work closely with City leadership, the Common Council, and departmental staff to support sound fiscal management and responsible stewardship of public resources.
